In continuing to make observations (without drawing any conclusions) we can see the following time relationship between the flood and these dates:

The Flood occurred in the year 4990 BC. Christ went to the cross in 33 AD:

4990 + 33 = 5023 calendar years

This is a similar timeline to: the flood’s date of 4990 BC to the possible year of Christ returning to end the world in 2033 AD:

4990 + 2033 = 7023 calendar years

In both cases we see that the fullness of thousand years was reached (5000 / 7000) and then 23 years was added (23 is a number that relates to tribulation).
