2 Corinthians 5:10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ;
What does 'seat' or to 'sit' mean in the Bible? Answer: it spiritually points to ruling. Kings sit upon their thrones.
Revelation 20:11 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.
12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God;
The judgment 'seat' of Christ is language indicating He will rule in the time of the final judgment of the world.
Revelation 19:15 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.
Christ's rule (His seat) in the prolonged day of the world's final judgment will be with a rod of iron. This means it is not a beneficial rule towards His subjects (the unsaved); but it is a rule designed to mete out punishment to those that have transgressed God's laws.
