God's judgment is on the world. Its science, its educational system, certainly its politics, its news media, its entertainment industry (Hollywood) and even its sports. Or maybe I should say especially its sports.

Just about every pro sports team I can think of plays on Sunday. And Sunday is the Lord's day. It is God's holy day.

Isaiah 58:13 If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, from doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of the LORD, honourable; and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words:
14 Then shalt thou delight thyself in the LORD; and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth, and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.

Sports grew and was tremendously magnified in the world over the course of the 23 year Great Tribulation period (1988 thru 2011). And why not, Satan was ruling the nations like never before in history. The full blown assault on the churches was underway. The unsaved people of the earth turned from worshiping God on Sunday to worshiping the idol of their particular team. Of course God noticed this. He is a jealous God and will not share His glory with another.

We can expect as the judgment of God continues to operate on all the world's institutions that it will also come against the sports idols that practically every city on earth, of any major size, has set up.

The judgment program of God is revealed in 2 Chronicles 20. There the enemies of His kingdom destroy one another.
