(The below response was given to an atheist who commented on EBF’s Face book page)

Herein lies the problem. The Bible is a spiritual book. Authored by a Spirit Being God. And due to sin man is dead in his spirit (soul):

Ezekiel 18:4 Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die.

Salvation is as Psalm 23 says, "He restoreth my soul..." It is God resurrecting the dead soul of certain individuals to life once again. Once the soul of these people is restored they are now able to perceive or see the spiritual truths the Bible speaks of. These few people have life in both the physical and spiritual realms of existence. If we were to use evolutionary language (although that ridiculous theory has no basis in reality whatsoever) we would say these few elect people are the more advanced of the human race. They have achieved a higher life form than the simply natural men who only have physical life but no spiritual life. And not surprisingly, the ones who are limited to one realm of existence only (the physical) will soon die out and become extinct while the elect individuals will move on to the higher plane of life-shedding as it were the lower life form of this physical body and creation and putting on the higher more evolved life form of a new spiritual creature in a new spiritual creation:

1 Corinthians 15:44 It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.

45 And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.

46 Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual.

47 The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven.

48 As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly.

49 And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.

You see, the problem atheists have, is not that they are more advanced intellectually and have put behind them the childish things of Theism-oh no, that's not the problem at all. The problem is that they are completely ill equipped for the future transformation of the human species from that of sin corrupted physical body-to that of a transfigured new perfect spiritual body. One cannot be more unequipped for the transformation of the human species from the physical to the spiritual than an atheist who denies there even is a spiritual realm of existence.

Colossians 1:16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible,...

There are created things which are visible. You acknowledge these things. Good for you. But there are also created things which are invisible. You're completely ignorant of these things and would have others to be as well. Your lack of perception concerning them does not mean they do not exist. It simply means that God has kept them back from you.
