Come Out of Her (the World) My People

By Chris McCann
September 9, 2019

Revelation 18:4 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.

Compared to:

2 Corinthians 6:16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, 18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

The two Greek words, "come out" are the same in both Scriptures above. This helps us to understand that to "come out of her (Babylon), means that God's elect are to come out and be separate from the world-in the time of the final judgment.

Of course, since all the world's institutions are under the wrath of God and He is publicly causing these worldly institutions to be openly ridiculed and shamed in the eyes of all, the Lord has made it much easier for His people to disengage from sports, and from politics, and from the entertainment industry, etc, etc.

It's also significant that 2 Corinthians 6:16 first tells us of God's plan to dwell within His people-followed by the command to come out from among them and be separate. This agrees with our understanding that God finished His spiritual house (whose house are we) on May 21, 2011-and then entered into it (spiritually) to indwell the body of Christ throughout the prolonged judgment period. These verses touch on this:

Joel 3:14 Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision: for the day of the LORD is near in the valley of decision.

15 The sun and the moon shall be darkened, and the stars shall withdraw their shining.

16 The LORD also shall roar out of Zion, and utter his voice from Jerusalem; and the heavens and the earth shall shake: but the LORD will be the hope of his people, and the strength of the children of Israel.

17 So shall ye know that I am the LORD your God dwelling in Zion, my holy mountain: then shall Jerusalem be holy, and there shall no strangers pass through her any more.

And,

Zephaniah 3:14 Sing, O daughter of Zion; shout, O Israel; be glad and rejoice with all the heart, O daughter of Jerusalem.

15 The LORD hath taken away thy judgments, he hath cast out thine enemy: the king of Israel, even the LORD, is in the midst of thee: thou shalt not see evil any more.

16 In that day it shall be said to Jerusalem, Fear thou not: and to Zion, Let not thine hands be slack.

17 The LORD thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing.
