First, your general question about posting things that lean in a political direction. No matter who we are, where we live, what job we do, what color we are, what gender we are, what nationality we are, or how much money and possessions we have, or what particular political ideology we follow, above these things and all else for the elect child of God is the fact that we are Christ’s servants.

John 12:26 If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honour.

And as we seek to serve the Lord, we find that in doing so we become servants to all men:

1 Corinthians 9: 19 For though I be free from all men, yet have I made myself servant unto all, that I might gain the more.

And,

2 Corinthians 4: 5 For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake.

Now, since we are Christ’s servants and as His servants, we are to serve others, a problem presents itself when we decide to take a position on a particular hot issue in the world around us, this is especially true when there is great and almost even division between the populace. If, for example, I feel very strongly about some wrong I see happening and voice my opinion, I’ve placed myself on a side of an issue that has about 50% on the opposite side. Sure, 50% of the people think I’m wonderful, but the other 50% do not. And after letting my position on an earthly matter be known to others, a little while later I post something about the Bible that I want to share with 100% of the people. Yet, as I do someone remembers I supported that other thing and has developed a dislike towards me because of it. They quickly dismiss whatever Bible post I made out of their minds, they might even respond to it in a hostile way because of built up animosity in the other area. Someone might say, “Yeah, well, if they’re so touchy (sensitive) they probably would’ve reacted that way eventually towards the Word of God at some point.” Perhaps, but that’s not the way we should approach things or think about things. Our mindset as a servant of Christ should always be that we ourselves do not want to be the offense. That is, not personally. Not our personality, not our political leanings. Not our gut feelings about patriotism or race or gender or anything else that’s of this world. We already carry something (the Bible) extremely offensive to the natural man all by itself. We don’t need to add to that offense through our own position on things happening in the world. As servants God instructs us in the following way:

2 Timothy 2: 24 And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient, 25 In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;

The servant of the Lord must NOT strive. And when we post something that’s conservative, or post something that’s liberal, what do we expect will happen? There’s already a large segment of the population solidly set against it, ready to pounce and go to war over it.

One other thing about this, as God’s elect children we do have to keep in mind of the time we’ve living in. We’re living on the earth in the Day of Judgment, and part of the character of this time period is division. Satan’s kingdom of this world has fallen and has been divided. Christ is the One dividing the nations amongst themselves in order to bring shame and (spiritual) destruction upon them. And in this final battle unfolding over the course of this prolonged judgment period, nobody wins. Not the left, and not the right. Not the conservatives, and not the liberals. Not the men, nor the women. Not the blacks, or Hispanics, or whites, or any race. All that engage in the battle lose. This is another take away we can learn from 2 Chronicles chapter 20. All the enemies of Judah (kingdom of God) perished because of division in their ranks causing them to destroy one another.

To say it another way using a Biblical figure, when God parts the waters (waters in the Bible can point to people) the Israelites go straight down the middle of the dry sea until they reach the other side (eternal heaven and new earth). If they were to go to the left or to the right, they would end up drowned in the waters.

God’s elect people are called upon to go forth with Christ in the final battle of Judgment Day. Remember, Christ comes with ten thousands of His saints; and, “know ye not that the saints shall judge the world?” But our complete focus is on sharing the truths of the Word of God the Bible. It is the Bible that brings the wrath of God to the unsaved of the world. Therefore, on one hand we do not fight in the battle because the unsaved of the world will ultimately destroy themselves; but we do go against them in the sense that we share the judgment information from the Scriptures with them.
