When we look at the Bible we find that it indicates the total length of time for this world should have been 12,000 years (plus a tribulation period). We find this idea in verses like this:
Deuteronomy 32:8 When the most High divided to the nations their inheritance, when he separated the sons of Adam, he set the bounds of the people according to the number of the children of Israel.
The “sons of Adam” are a reference to mankind. This verse is telling us that God set the bounds of the people (sons of Adam/mankind) according to the number of the children of Israel.
Jacob had his name changed to Israel. Literally, Israel (Jacob) had 12 sons who became the 12 tribes of Israel. But God blessed Joseph and made him two tribes instead of one thus making the children of Israel to number 13.
When we search out all the Bible says about the first coming of Christ we find that it implies Christ would come after 11,000 years of history (Joseph's death at age 110 & Joshua's death at age 110 point to this for example). The Biblical calendar of history confirms that Jesus was born in the Jubilee year of 7 BC which was 11,006 years from creation.
Also, the Bible indicates that once Christ came (after 11,000 years) one of the results of His coming would be that Satan would be bound for a 1,000 years. And then the Bible indicates Satan would be loosed for a little season at the end of the world.
After putting these things together we would expect that the duration for the history of the world once again would be 12,000 years (plus a tribulation period tacked on). The calculation would work out like this:
11,000 years until first coming of Christ
1,000 years of Satan's binding
= 12,000 overall years until we reach the end times
However, we've learned that the 1,000 year statement concerning Satan's binding was a figurative number given to represent the completion of that binding. The actual time Satan was bound was 1955 years, or almost double the 1,000 years. This has resulted in a very remarkable fulfillment of the verse in Deuteronomy 32:8 regarding the bounds of mankind being set according to the number of the children of Israel. Just as Israel had 12 sons, but 13 were counted to him, there should be 12,000 years of history, but actually there is 13,000 years of history.
So, given that the first earth was allotted 6,023 years before it was destroyed by the flood, we would expect the second earth (world after the flood) to also go a period of 6,023 years and also be destroyed----but----since there's an extra 1,000 years to be accounted for the number is changed from 6,023 years to 7,023 years. And that is exactly the timeline from the flood in 4990 BC until the year 2033 AD it is a period of 7,023 (cal.) years.
In other words, 7,023 years perfectly fulfills the pattern God established with the destruction of the first world by a flood. And therefore it is strong Biblical evidence, all by itself, that the year 2033 AD is a year that stands out as something to be observed as a possible date for the end of the world.
